Junior Drafter (Full-Time)

Employment: Full-time, Monday - Friday (9PM – 5PM)

Job Summary

16’96 Concepts is looking for a Junior Drafter who is ready to help produce shop drawings for contemporary, modern furniture designs. Our ideal candidate will deliver shop drawings to Shop Team and report directly to our Lead Visualizer for task briefs, design decisions, product details. The successful Junior Drafter will constantly strive to improve product design aesthetically and function-wise. We are looking for an independent Drafter who understands design thinking and is able to conduct product research and make recommendations.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop detailed scale drawings for existing and upcoming products and collections and to meet technical requirements

• Understand basic modeling skills to aid Lead Visualizer in constructing spaces and interiors for prospective clients

• Communicate with operations team (Head Carpenter and Operations Coordinator) on shop drawing clarifications

• Support product design team with product research, carpentry processes, and design trends

• Attend site meetings with clients

Technical Qualifications / Requirements

• University degree in any field (Engineering or Design preferred)

• Strong understanding of Sketchup (Preferred), Sketchup Layout, AutoCAD

• No previous experience required
