Revamp : Stacey's Sleek Style meets Uncompromising Comfort

Beginnings

When Stacey first approached us, she told us about how she was inspired by our DTYGN (Downtown Yangon) | Lounge Bundle. We said, let’s go for it. We began to explore how we could recreate our DTYGN Bundle in a manner that was tailored to Stacey’s style.

The Ask

The ask was simple. She wanted to transform her living room into a beautiful aesthetic escape — one that felt comfortable, inviting, but visually mesmerizing.

There were a few essentials that she wanted to solve with design. One was an issue of wires and cables that was clogging the media wall. Because her existing sideboard on the media wall had an open storage design, we decided that our Ta Wun Bu Media Console was the perfect piece to give her a half-opened, half-closed option to help hide her cables.

Stacey wanted to replace her current three rattan chairs with a sofa that was spacious enough to seat her family of five. Although we featured our Tha Khwar Mhway Sectional in our DTGYN Bundle, we decided that our Tha Khwar Mhway Straight Sofa was a more appropriate shape if the two adjacent rattan sofas were going to stay.

Journey

We wanted to create a casual but elevated living room that had character. To make the overall space feel layered, we planned to incorporate natural and organic textures like breathable fabrics, flatweave wool rugs, and pops of rattan.

We kept the space balanced by keeping the furniture layout traditional and relatively symmetrical. To help balance out the visual height of the statement arc on the media wall, we suggested either having a large bookshelf or a floor to ceiling indoor plant, or both. In the end, we decided to go with a beautiful large fig tree to add a dose of greenery in the space.

None of the standard paint colors that we swatched from the standard Premier UPG Line was the hue we were looking for, so we specifically asked for an exclusive formula that was aligned with our mood board and concept. Through multiple iterations we finally achieved the hue that we originally wanted. Sometimes, perfection is non-negotiable. The build of the arc was realized by Prime Hub, while 16’96 Concepts focused on making sure all the furniture pieces were crafted at the highest level.

The big reveal.

Handcrafted with intention. An appreciation for quality materials. Truly a labor of love.
